CGP Registration

Why do I need to register in the Controlled Goods Program?

Registration in the CGP is mandatory if you or your employees will be examining, possessing or transferring Controlled Goods in Canada. It also requires security assessments of key individuals within the organisation, and an acceptable facility security plan.

We can make it happen for you.

Registration in the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) is mandatory if you or your employees will be examining, possessing or transferring Controlled Goods in Canada.

Registration in the program is a multi-step process taking anywhere from 2 to 6 months. The process includes:

  • security assessments by the RCMP of key individuals within the organisation;
  • the implementation of a Security Plan and CGP log of activity;
  • the training of a Designated Official (DO) for security-assessing staff; and
  • an assessment of all employees who will be examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods.

Once registration is completed the CGP Inspectors will visit your premises to ensure that the facility and the aforementioned Security Plan have been implemented correctly. We at Heroxx Logistix will guide you through this process and ensure that you get approved and registered in the shortest possible time-frame.
